Hero June 28

Hero for today is: N!

There are some of our heroes who just make me grin in a totally different way, and N is one of them! He serves our nation bravely in Afghanistan, and sends out newsletters full of what their unit is up to. (Oh how I wish OPSEC —Operational Security—would allow me to share some of it, my goodness. These men and women are awesome and I love hearing all about their lives!)

So why does N make me grin? Well because he's secure enough in his manliness that he's willing to admit to liking the "mouse cards"!!! How many brave and burly guys do you think would actually fess up to thinking they're really cute? This gentleman is married but doesn't have kids, so I'm not sure who he sends them to—but he sure does like them.

Each one of our boxes to them contained a bunch of HouseMouse cards once I knew he liked them—I wish their unit was still on our list so I'd have an excuse to still make a lot! lol. But....I think I'm really much happier they're home now instead! This missing-you card was made in N's honor....and it's on a manly blue card base, and made in patriotic colors just for him...lol.

2 more days....ack! I've nearly made it all month!!!
