Thank you Stampinsanity
Another card with this adorable little girl from Stampinsanity...I just love love love coloring this one, can you tell? This time she's a little redhead. :) And I'm trying something new with my photos, I have a little more to work out - on the Card and Page blog, Windy's got cards with black behind them and white underneath. I thought immediately it would be easier to get card images truer to real color, but I think I need to work out my lighting better, still. Ugh! I need a good system.

Sandy,
I had a couple of basic
beginner photo/darkroom classes many moons ago, we were told that a gray or neutral backdrop would be the easiest for us to work with. They also said we could improvise a neutral with denim. Maybe you could try photographing one of your cards against a skirt and see what happens.
Also, front lighting will show the most detail.
Keep up the great work!
Sandy - I also wanted to mention - I think your photos look great just the way they are!
Thanks Nancy! gray or neutral is great on regular photos - but when I pull the images into photoshop, an auto-setting can do a quick color correction to fix the overall look, but only if there's a good white and good black in it. If it's a pastel card, it tries to force a shadow to go dark and messes up the entire thing! Ugh. But I think the light is where I need to focus some energy...I have an old printer taking up the space where I could put an extra light that would help, so maybe I'll just finally toss that puppy and do this whole thing right! lol.
Stop being so hard on yourself! Your work is beautiful and I can't figure out where in the heck you find the time to do everything you do, unless you're up 24 hours a day or have some kind of a special clock, in which case, where do I get one?
