These cards have been in partial progress for a bit - and I finally felt better enough to sit at my craft table. (I got sidetracked with a flood in the bathroom (toilet runneth over) that left me pretty wiped out, but I did get some cards done - and that felt a little back-to-normal! These are for challenges that are still listed on the Stars and Stamps blog sidebar - you have til tomorrow night on a bunch of them and can win some great prizes! (disclaimer: not all have prizes! But they're all wonderful for inspiration!)
This first card is for the challenge to CASE
featured cardmaker Barb - she had a darling thankyou card and I used the layout and strong contrast on this one. My proportions are a little off from hers because the image I picked is pretty big - a RAKd HouseMouse image. But it's a rabbit.....do they have a name for their line of other critters? House bunnies? lol. They probably do! Ha. I'm also using up the background paper - I have a TON of it and plan to get it all finished up before fall is over; my church needs a bunch for pastoral care to use, so they might get a lot with this stuff! Next year I want to buy *new* papers, and not be using up old stuff. :)
This one is a CASE of a card by
featured cardmaker Lynn; she had one with flowers cascading down some ribbons, and I immediately thought of snowflakes and some scrap ribbons in my ribbon jar. Again - trying to use things up!! The paper is from a really beautiful stack by K&Co I got last year for 75% off - and hopefully I can get it too used up by the end of winter. (The stack of holiday and winter papers to use is about 6 inches tall, cut into card front size; anyone wanna bet on whether or not I blast through it??)
And here's my card for the
Sketch challenge 36 for this week on S&S...the image is one I think I got in a swap on the
OWH Facebook page discussion board. I think. At least it was with a bunch of images I didn't remember! So I'm going through that big stack too, coloring them up and using them. No more carryover from season to season! Agh! Too much stuff around my house. :)
And one more thing for today...only those who actually click on my
blog link will be able to answer. But - what do you think of my new header? I know a lot of you read this in a feed reader or on facebook, but I figured I'd jazz it up for fall.
