Hero Arts - Galaxy of Stars

Happy Monday! Today I bring you the start of my thankyou cards for lots of the folks I met at CHA...I wanted to wait long enough til I was pretty sure they'd all get them before I post them, and they should be arriving now (and besides...the guy getting this one isn't likely to be googling to see what's out there, nor does he follow my blog, I'm sure!). This card uses Hero Arts' Galaxy of Stars set. The background red paper is embossed using a Cuttlebug star folder; each of the stamped stars is mounted on navy cardstock, and trimmed by hand using my oh-so-favorite Tonic Studios Kushgrip scissors. The big Thanks is by Impress - I seem to use that one a lot on guy-cards! Big and bold.

The little fireworks are made very simply; I put down some ATG adhesive, then laid thin strips of cut paper down, longer than they're shown. I assembled the star on top, then trimmed the sparks down to where I wanted them to be.  And of course the inside of the card is lined and has an extra star on it.

This card's headed off to the head honcho of Hero Arts, Aaron - it was so fantastic to get to meet him, and I'm thrilled to see what kind of partnership will be developing :) Wish this card good luck as it makes its way to him!
